They immediately set out to steal eight pieces of a raft from increasingly improbable locations including beaches, prairies, an art exhibit and some dude’s basement. Ittle Dew 2 is a charming and humorous 3D Action Adventure game with a focus on exploration and combat. Tackle the game’s dungeons in any order and discover the many secrets of its expansive overworld. With four main weapons, combat and puzzling is streamlined, yet upgradeable inventory items add RPG-like character progression!

Ittle Dew 2 is an action-adventure game developed by Swedish indie studio Ludosity and published by Nicalis, and the sequel to the 2013 title Ittle Dew. Ittle Dew 2 was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on November 15, 2016. An updated version of the game entitled Ittle Dew 2+ was released for the Nintendo Switch on November 14, 2017[1][2]; the updated content was eventually released on the Windows version on May 26, 2019.[3] The Nintendo Switch is the only platform that received a physical release of the game.

The game was removed from all digital console platforms on September 20, 2019 by the publisher Nicalis due to a breakdown in relations with the developer. The Steam release remains available, as it was self-published.[4] Eventually the game got a re-release on the Nintendo Switch eShop on March 19, 2020.[5]

Plot[edit]

The protagonist Ittle and her blithe buddy Tippsie ended up stranded on the island after their raft breaks apart and they must head out and recover the eight raft pieces before they can leave.[6]

Gameplay[edit]

The game makes the player complete any challenge by solving the puzzles, the player must pick up the abilities and items to help the puzzle to be solved. There are enemies to fight, puzzles to solve and keys to collect before taking on the dungeon's boss.[7][8][9][10]

Reception[edit]

According to review aggregator Metacritic, Ittle Dew 2 received a user score of 7.6 out of 10.[11]

On Hardcore Gamer, the game received a 3.5 out of 5. The author, Jeremy Peeples, says that Ittle Dew 2 'isn’t perfect, but does smooth out of some of the rough edges of its predecessor.'[9]

On the Nintendo Switch reviews, the game has compiled an average score of an 8 out of 10.[2]
