Solitairica user reviews :
This was my first deck building game, and I still play it a LOT. They’ve found the right mix of humor and complexity to keep things interesting, yet still approachable and fun. Randomization forces you to change up your strategy. There are some really interesting spells, such as weapons that are more effective when you’re injured below a certain level. My only gripe is that it doesn’t save your progress to the cloud when you uninstall. 5 stars.
Good idea, but the execution relies so much on randomness that the gameplay basically ends up being equivalent to a slot machine. I love the concept of a deck builder/solitaire rpg, but the powers don’t allow you to take control of the game enough to make it interesting. Good graphics and presentation, and I like that there’s no ads on the base game, but it really doesn’t seem like there’s enough depth to the game to warrant a full purchase.
The idea is nice, but the game doesn’t really reward the player. 80% of times it’s just dumb luck and no strategy, as you depend on the cards in your deck and the order they get generated. Also, is there supposed to be any difference between the classes? Besides the starting abilities, all the items and spells are the same, so nothing new. Bought the full game to support the devs, as it’s still hard work behind it, but I start regretting it now.
I love it, yeah it’s luck based but eventually you hit a lucky streak and between that and the skill you’ve gained by playing the unlucky hands pays off. I’ve been coming back to this game on and off for years and it never gets old.

Solitairica is out now on the App Store, bringing a delightful RPG twist to the classic single-player card game.
It joins a surprisingly fertile sub-genre of games that take solitaire and apply some video game magic to form something new and exciting. Often that involves RPG elements, but it seems as if anything goes - from golf to pirates.
If you're fed up of dealing yourself the same old cards, download a few of these onto your iPhone or iPad.
The latest addition to this list is Solitairica from Righteous Hammer Games. It's a colourful Unreal Engine-powered card battler that utilises solitaire rules as its basis, but stirs in some RPG elements. Clearing cards adds powers up various special abilities for fending off a colourful assortment of monsters, whilst drawing a fresh card allows those beasties to attack.
One of the most moreish iOS games of recent years, if we were to recommend just one game above all the others on this list, it would be Card Crawl. Yes, you're basically just clearing cards as always. But the way you put those cards to use and the variety of special ability and weapon cards that are mixed in makes each round feel like an epic dungeon crawler.
Sage Solitaire brilliantly mixes solitaire's deck-clearing impulse with poker's hand-forming mechanics as you put together three-of-a-kinds and royal flushes in a bit to clear a three-by-three grid of cards. You just try and stop playing this one.
Two of the world's favourite time wasters, together at last. Okay, so you might not think that golf and solitaire make particularly natural bedfellows, but Fairway Solitaire might just make you think otherwise. This is a fairly typical game of deck clearing, but the golf theme manifests itself with water hazard and rough cards that need to be tackled in order to progress.
PopCap is the proven master of taken a simple, established game or theme and giving it a fresh tweak. So it proves with Solitaire Blitz. You're against the clock in this version of the game, and there are score multipliers that can boost your high score (not to mention your endorphin levels) through the stratosphere.
